I cut out all carbs.
Lost some weight since carbs retain water, only to end up hating my life a fed days later, and gaining it all back quickly.
So if you want to lose weight and actually keep it off, cutting carbs is almost never the answer.
I know, because I tried.
I also tried cutting fats.
Same result.
I really gave it everything I had with these.
Truly gave it my BEST shot.
And none of the stupid fad worked.
Because I played by the rules and followed "common wisdom"...
I Ended Up With My Highest Weight Ever And I Hated It...
I hated it because it wasn't like I was sitting on my butt doing nothing.
I tried every diet known to man.
Tried exercising up to 3 hours a day.
And I still couldn't lose weight.
As a matter of fact, after every new diet, I was so deprived and hungry, I'd just baloon up and gain more weight than I had before the diet...
I had goals and aspirations..I wanted more out of life...
...and I realized following another dumb fad wasn't going to work.
So I did what everyone else out there does in this situation.
I started looking for a way out. And then I went to Pharmacy school, fell in love with science, particularly human physiology and biochemistry ( aka nutrition).
As I dove in more and more, I found the answers I looked for so long.

The #1 Mistake Everyone Makes Is Cutting Out Certain Foods Or Food Groups, While They Have No Clue How Many Calories They Eat
Here's why:
There are two types of dieters out there.
There are the "the new fad diet MUST be it" and there are "I'm sick and tired of the BS and yo-yo dieting, I want to handle this once and for all" type.
For my first 5-6 years as a fat kid, I was the "new fad must be it" type.
The "new fad must be it" types are always out there trying the new and popular diets...
So they starve themselves, cut out fats, cut out carbs, cut out veggies, take "miracle" supps...
Their strategy is to "pray and hope it works".
And of course, it never does.
But by focusing on this "chasing fads" strategy - they spend time on...
Cutting out fats or animal products out of their diets
Cutting out carbs and all the tasty foods out of their diets
Starving themselves (fasting) for hours every day while they'd rather eat when they are hungry (as you should btw)
Overall being miserable and suffering through the restrictive diets that no normal human can stick to
All of this requires time and energy, yet produces NO weight loss.
The problem isn't any particular fad diet, it's the whole MODEL of fad diets...
Which is to have you do some restrictive, temporary, unsustainable thing...which of course leads to weight regain...Just in time for another fad to come in and lure you in.
And this is the same thing that happened to me when I was a fat kid trying to figure it out. I did every diet I came across..
Back then it was cut fats, high carbs, then it was dont mix protein and carbs, then it was low carb etc...I tried them all...
The solution?

I said it, we do NOT restrict any of the foods you like, you can eat anything you want...
